The class format will provide ample opportunity for lively and interactive discussion. During the class, John will describe a web analytics sin and then open up the floor for conversation, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions, challenge the material or offer insights of their own. There will also be opportunities to win prizes– but you'll have to attend to find out how and what you can win.
The classes are free and guaranteed to be devoid of annoying sales pitches. Anyone may sign up for the online classes at www.clicktracks.com/seminars."

This looks interesting, and I am doing a lot with analytics right now - so it might be helpful. Just a few things I noticed:
- I cant find the location of this event - just days/times.
- Machine wise, it says IE 6 and Windows machines, would I be persecuted for bringing a mac, or is there something software dependant?
Thanks for the heads up!

Hi Nate, The location is online (virtual). Once you register, they'll send you a confirmation email with instructions on how to view the session. Participation requires an internet browser that is compatible with their plugin application. This plugin will enable a "screen-share plus audio" type experience. As you mentioned above, it looks like the plugin is "IE6" friendly, only. I suggest trading with a PC user for this hour. You won't regret it!
On a related note: ClickTracks software is not Mac friendly.

Ahh, well that answers all my questions then.
I will have to pass on this one, I am actually moving our main web server to a Mac in the near future, so this probably wouldn’t be of much assistance.
Thanks for the info - next time Ill spend more time reading the page.

I wouldn't say that all is lost. John knows analytics very well, and even though some of his info will be ClickTracks specific, his thought process will apply across other platforms. I still highly suggest borrowing a PC in effort to attend. Have you thought out all the implications of going Mac when it comes to your choices in Analytics software vendors?

Craig,
I know this is somewhat of a late response - sorry about that.
Our webserver is currently running on Windows (2003) and I absolutely hate it. Personally, I would take a slow version of linux before dealing with Windows. Hopefully in the near future I can move us away from Windows and onto a new platform. I don’t prefer ASP from a programming or performance aspect - so using PHP, MySQL, Rails, Postgres - its all much better on a linux system.
Personally, I do all my development on a Mac. Again, I haven’t found anything on windows that can compare with Textmate, transmit, and the terminal (and integration of the three). Not only that - but setting up a testing/development server on a Mac is much easier than the PC counterpart.
I do have PC’s at my disposal, but only using them for browser testing and the like.
As for clicktracks - I would have to take a glance at some more information. We are currently using serveral analytics packages (hosted) and then our internal custom analytics/session management (and raw logs). These are working great for us to really look at the big picture and nail down to the detailed views. I was just looking to get some insight on what he had to say analytics wise - no so much for the software.
Hope all is well…
Peace,
Nate
